Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

MyFrenchie (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Denislav Ganchev, an individual based in Sofia, Bulgaria (“the controller”). For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use MyFrenchie, why, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for that processing.

2. The data we process

Account data. The email address you use to create an account, and authentication data needed to keep your account secure.

Content you add about your dog. Pet profile details, weight entries, vaccination and medication records, vet-visit notes, photos, and Breathing Diary observations. You choose what to enter; this information is associated with your account so we can store it for you and show it back to you.

Subscription data. If you buy Premium, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google through our subscription provider; we receive your subscription status and transaction identifiers, not your full payment-card details.

Technical and diagnostic data. Limited app-performance, crash, and usage data so we can keep the app working. We configure our analytics and crash-reporting tools to strip your email, your name, and pet identifiers (pet name, microchip number, vet name, vet clinic) from this data.

We do not require special categories of personal data about you, and MyFrenchie is a tracker — it does not diagnose, screen for, or assess the health of you or your dog.

Purpose Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Create and operate your account; store and display the records you add Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Provide Premium features and manage your subscription Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); legal obligation for any required records (Art. 6(1)(c))
Keep the app secure, stable, and working (crash and performance data) Our legitimate interests in a functioning, secure service (Art. 6(1)(f))
Send you optional product updates or join a waitlist, where offered Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — withdraw at any time

4. Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of service providers (“sub-processors”) who process data only on our instructions:

Provider Role Location
Supabase Database, authentication, file storage EU-hosted (EU/EEA)
RevenueCat Subscription management United States
PostHog Product analytics (scrubbed of identifiers) EU-hosted (EU/EEA)
Sentry Crash reporting (scrubbed of identifiers) United States
Expo Push notifications (reminders) United States
Cloudflare This website + waitlist Global

Your core MyFrenchie records are stored with Supabase in the EU/EEA. Where a sub-processor is outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising in the app.

5. International transfers

Your primary records are stored in the EU/EEA. Some sub-processors (above) operate outside the EEA; where they do, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and the records you add for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is deleted as described in section 8. Limited records that a law or an app-store requires us (or Apple/Google) to retain — for example, minimal transaction records — may be kept for the period required by that obligation.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; receive a copy in a portable form; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You can export your records from within the app at any time, on any plan.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP / Комисия за защита на личните данни).

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and removes your account and associated records from our active systems. It cannot be undone — export anything you want to keep first. If you can’t access the app, email [email protected]. See also our account-deletion page.

9. Children

MyFrenchie is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers, encrypted connections, and access controls, and we minimise the personal data exposed to our analytics and crash tools as described in section 2. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
